Who we are

This website is run by NLM Personal Training, a personal trainer based in Huddersfield. You can email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com. Our current contact details are always on our contact page.

What we collect and why

When you send a message

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. Your message is stored on the website and emailed to us so that we can reply. We keep it until we delete it.

When you book a consultation

If you book a consultation online, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number, the time you chose and anything you add in the notes. The booking is stored on the website and emailed to us so that we can confirm it and get ready for it. We keep it until we delete it.

When you buy a training block

If you pay for a training block, we collect your name, your email address and your phone number, and keep a record of your order so that we can arrange your sessions and keep our accounts. Payments are taken by Stripe, a payment provider. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this website or by us.

Who looks after your information

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process the information above on our behalf and deliver the website’s email. They do not use it for anything else. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

Cookies

The website sets two small cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which lets the site remember you from one page to the next (for example, what is in your basket), and a security cookie, which protects the forms from misuse. They are deleted when you close your browser or soon after.

The website counts its visitors without cookies, so nothing is stored on your device to do so.

If we ever switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, the website will ask you first with a banner, and nothing from them is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser, and you can change it at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to us using it. To do any of these, email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
